H: Port logistics Hamburg
The universal port of Hamburg acts as a strategically important logistics hub with Europe-wide relevance, in particular as a “gateway to the world” for the German economy and neighboring countries. Approximately 500 companies are based in the port area and around 156,000 jobs in the Hamburg metropolitan region depend on the port, with the logistics sector playing a prominent role. A 2.5-hour tour, moderated by experts, focuses on the complex logistical processes in which around 5700 logistics companies are involved every day. The bus tour presents highlights such as the historic Speicherstadt warehouse district, HafenCity, various project, general cargo, bulk and grab cargo terminals as well as a terminal tour and various industrial facilities.
Guiding is available in German only.
